Christmas Cakes

With Christmas just a mere jingle away, I thought it would be useful to share a roundup of some of my favorite Christmas cakes. Whether it’s creamy cheesecake or a caramelized tatin, here are some cakes that will make the holidays even more special.

buche de noel

Buche de Noel: This stunning cake tastes as good as it looks! A chocolate sponge cake is filled with sweetened whipped cream and rolled into a log shape before it’s frosted in mocha chocolate.

chocolate raspberry cake with mascarpone frosting

Chocolate Raspberry Cake: Rich and moist chocolate cake layers are filled with a sweet raspberry compote, then covered in a mascarpone cream frosting. You can never go wrong with chocolate and raspberry!

orange chiffon cake

Orange Chiffon Cake: If you enjoy citrus flavored treats, you’ll love this orange chiffon cake. Light-as-air, orange-flavored cake layers are topped with marshmallow creme frosting before getting a little Christmas makeover.

Cranberry Cheescake: Creamy, New York-style cheesecake with a cinnamon graham cracker crust and a drool-worthy cranberry compote poured on the top.

french pumpkin cheesecake

French Pumpkin Cheesecake: Enjoy delicious pumpkin flavor in this easy peasy, no-bake pumpkin cheesecake. It’s the perfect dessert after a big, heavy meal.

Upside-Down Apple Cake - A delicious French cake with caramelized apples. Recipe via MonPetitFour.com

Upside-Down Apple Cake: Last, but certainly not least, is this gorgeous upside-down apple cake. Apple slices are caramelized in warm butter and sugar, then flipped over a tender, vanilla cake.

  1. So many beautiful cakes to choose from! I made a Yule Log for Christmas the past few years but not this year, and something felt missing yesterday, ha ha 😉 I think I might make one for New Years … I don’t think anyone would mind! Hope you had a lovely Christmas!
