La Boheme du Tertre
While La Boheme du Tertre isn’t a 5-star cafe to write home about, I thoroughly enjoyed the meal I had there next to the magnificent Sacré Coeur Cathedral.
La Boheme du Tertre
Like most cafes, La Boheme du Tertre offered a prix fixe menu at a discounted price for lunch. Its prime location on the corner of the Place du Tertre square alone was worth the visit.
With the beautiful Sacré Coeur Cathedral in view, I ordered a classic plate of poulet frites (chicken and fries). The chicken was particularly delicious and had a gravy-like sauce on it that I was incredibly fond of.
The fries were crisp and the salad was simple. Per French cafe standard, I received a basket of baguette slices, which were delicious enough.
The dessert was an irresistible serving of chocolate mousse. It was rich, yet light and airy in texture, just as proper chocolate mousse should be.
I also received friendly and prompt service, which was great since I was hungry from all the walking I did earlier that day.
If you’re visiting the area and looking for a classic French bistro meal, I’d say give La Boheme du Tertre a try.
