January Mood Board 2024
One of the activities I love doing every month is putting together a monthly mood board. This January mood board contains all the vibes, inspiration, and ideas I’m looking to adopt or embody in my own life, and I’m sharing it with you in the hopes that it serves you as well.
Making Monthly Mood Boards
I love creating monthly mood boards as a way to keep my inspirations and ideas at the forefront of my mind when I enter each month.
It allows me to stay present for each moment or season of the year, and serves as a great planner when it comes to experiences, meals, or objects I want to have or enjoy during the month.
January Mood Board
For me, January is all about staying cozy like I did during the holidays, but with a clean and neutral aesthetic in my home (and closet, although I’m always a fan of a neutral wardrobe).
Sweater. In the closet, you’ll find plenty of knit sweaters, some wool, others cashmere, and of course plenty of chunky knit, oversized ones.
Winter White Cheese Board. I typically like to host a get-together with my friends at my home in January to help beat the post-holiday blues. Doing a winter white cheese board like this is beautiful with white roses placed alongside it is gorgeous.
S’mores. January is also a time that I enjoy a s’more or two. They’re the perfect “après-ski” dessert, and even if I don’t end up making it to the mountains for a weekend of skiing, having a beautiful arrangement of marshmallows, graham crackers, and chocolates on my board is a great reminder to utilize the fire pits in my community with some friends and enjoy a sweet treat.
Greens on the mantle. The home does always feel a little too clean and bare after all the holiday decor is gone, so I love this idea of decorating my fireplace mantle with just some fresh winter greens, without any lights or extra fuss.
Pear cocktail. For me, January is also a time I like to utilize pears. Whether I’m making a pear clafoutis, or a delicious pear cocktail like this one, I think it’s a wonderful time to be using this produce in your kitchen.
Silver bowl. I also like using seasonal produce for home decor, often decorating with citrus fruits by placing a beautiful silver bowl of clementines on my dining table or sideboard.
Let me know if you try any of these or enjoy these mood boards, as I’m planning to share more in the future for the coming months!
