Holiday Looks to Ring in the New Year
This time of year is always filled with holiday parties, the actual holidays themselves, and, of course, one of the most anticipated moments of the year, the clock striking midnight! So, to help you ring in the New Year in style, I’ve put together some holiday looks that I think will do just that!
Holiday Looks to Celebrate in Style
When I was younger, there were many years where I celebrated the New Year at home, sitting in my pjs with family and boxes of Chinese food.
There were also years where I glammed up and attended big parties with friends, fretting over what to wear and whether I’d actually make it all night in my ridiculously high heels.
Either way, I’ve loved and embraced each new year for what it was and is: an opportunity for elevated optimism and hope for the future, surrounded by loved ones.
In most recent years, I tend to dress up in something with a little shimmer or glam and go out for an intimate dinner with family or friends. I then end the evening in my comfy pjs, in bed with my fur baby as the clock strikes 12, and start the New Year with an affirmation for health, happiness, and prosperity in the coming year.
Whatever scenario you may find yourself in this holiday season, I hope you take the time to wear something that makes you feel good and pretty so that you ring in the New Year sparkling from the inside out!
This first look is so flirty and fun! I love the ultra glam effect of the sequin top and blazer with the feather-y trim on the clutch and skirt. It’s giving me 1920’s Gatsby vibes in the best way!
This second look is something I would totally wear to dinner with my family and friends for New Year’s. I love a winter white look, and this ensemble combines comfy and cozy with feminine and glam in a really chic way.
I’m obsessed with the sequin skirt in this third look. You may not be able to tell just from looking at this photo, but if you click over to the shopping page for this skirt, it’s got a see-through component in the bottom half of the skirt that is so sexy with a sheer blouse like the one I’ve paired it with.
If you’re going to be attending a casual house party but still want to elevate your look, this fourth look is for you. Velvet pants paired with a metallic sweater and rhinestone heels give this comfortable but chic look the perfect mix of casual and glam.
On that same note, if you want comfy but want to raise the glam level up a bit, just swap the sweater for this gold and silver sequin top. This is something you can also wear out to dinner or to a house party that isn’t perhaps as intimate or casual as something you’d host with just a few family and friends.
This sixth look is another outfit I’d most definitely wear out to dinner, as I think it’s got the perfect amount of subtle sparkle with the metallic skirt and simple sweater. This is something I would feel comfortable eating and drinking in all night, and not be itching to get out of once I get home.
Last but not least, this final look look will make you a knock-out at any New Year’s Eve party! This dress, to me, is the ultimate NYE look with it’s all-over sequin design. Paired with some satin heels and a satin clutch, you’ll look glamorous and sophisticated.
