March Mood Board 2024
As March arrives, the month brings with it the gentle whispers of spring and the promise of new beginnings. It also happens to be my birthday month, which means I definitely have some gorgeous cake on my mood board!
March Mood Board: Pretty Lilacs and Spring Eats
French lilacs. I love seeing French lilacs pop up in stores in late March. They don’t receive the fanfare that peonies do, but they absolutely transport me to a beautiful French village in the country, so I love purchasing some for my home.
Pink nail polish. As we approach spring, I typically swap out the moodier reds and browns I use during the winter for lighter hues in pink. This one by Essie is called “All Dressed Up” and is a favorite. You can find it here.
Lilac cashmere scarf. I have a favorite scarf from Club Monaco called the Adele scarf that’s made of cashmere and comes in the most delicate shade of lilac. It’s great because it’s the perfect color for spring, and it offers just enough warmth for those chilly days.
Mocha chocolate cake. I shared this mocha chocolate cake recipe on my blog because it’s one of my absolute favorite cakes. It’s a recipe from the Barefoot Contessa and it’s heavenly! Since March is my birthday month, I’m going to make myself this cake to enjoy.
Spring pasta recipe. This pasta recipe is something I look forward to making every spring. It includes peas, asparagus, fava beans, and pancetta for an incredibly delicious combo that feels fresh and comforting at the same time.
Dining al Fresco. While we certainly don’t have summer temperatures yet, I’ve already started taking some of my meals outside. The flowers that have already started blooming have made it so beautiful. I’m getting a lot of inspiration from this garden scene in Hip Paris’s post about a day spent at Sharon Santoni’s Normandy home.
As we embrace the arrival of March and the enchanting spirit of spring, let us revel in the beauty and charm of French living.
