February Mood Board 2024
Picture the world bathed in soft hues of pink and red, as Valentine’s Day casts its enchanting spell. What better mood board is there to create than one that’s as pink as the French idiom of la vie en rose?
February Mood Board
February is a month that beckons us to reflect on love in all its forms — including our adoration for romance, flowers, and all things pink.
From pretty pink roses to luscious pink lipstick, I’m sharing just a handful of things that are inspiring me this month in the board below.
Pink floral arranagement. The floral arrangement above was one I started making many years ago when I started making it a point of having fresh flowers in my home every week. I took just a dozen pink roses and filled in the bouquet with eucalyptus stems. I loved the combination of soft pink and muted green, and create the same type of arrangement every February.
Heart cookies. These cookies not only look pretty, but they taste absolutely wonderful! They’re perfect for gifting to a loved one on Valentine’s Day. I make this cookie recipe using a foolproof sugar cookie dough that’s great for cutting out shapes. The cookies always retain their shape as they bake (which can’t be said for most store-bought sugar cookie dough), and they taste so yummy!
Pink lipstick. Admittedly, I have a few favorite shades of lipstick that I turn to year-round and rarely veer away from these. But something about the month of February always makes me excited to don a really lovely pink lipstick, and I’m eyeing this one called Pink Muse from Yves Saint Laurent.
Heart sweater. Every February, my girlfriends and I do a “Galentine’s Day” where we get together and celebrate our friendship with each other. I always buy a new, festive sweater for this occasion, and this year I think I’m going to get this Sézane one with tiny gold hearts because I can easily wear it other times of the year too.
Pink Toile de Jouy Scarf. I’m obsessed with Dior’s toile de jouy-print scarves. They are just so gorgeous, and this pink one has my name all over it. I feel like it’s perfect for spring, and scarves in general are just a favorite collectible item for me when it comes to my closet.
Tuileries candle. Okay, so I was already intrigued by this Trudon candle from the pretty pink container, but then I found out its top notes include Mandarin and I was sold. I adore citrus scents, so I can’t wait to get my hands on one of these this month!
