Welcome to April, where the air is alive with the promise of new beginnings and the sweet scent of blooming flowers fills the breeze. As nature awakens from its winter slumber, so too do our senses come alive with inspiration and creativity. In this month’s blog post, I’m sharing an April mood board inspired by the fresh flowers, produce, and vibrant colors of spring.

“April in Paris, This is a Feeling”

Striped button down. I love a relaxed button down, especially one with stripes. This one by Emerson Fry offers the perfect shade of pink for spring, making it so chic with a pair of white or cream-toned jeans. Some other options include this one from J.Crew and this one from Free People.

Tulips. Is there anything more symbolic of spring than a bouquet of tulips? I love adding a fresh bouquet of vibrant tulips to my home during the month of April. It reminds me of the beautiful florals at the Luxembourg gardens in Paris.

White wine. Because my meals tend to become lighter and fresher during this time of the year, I typically start stocking up on more white wines than red. I love shopping at Trader Joe’s for affordable white wines, including this Sauvignon Blanc by Belles Vignes.

Asparagus tart. Asparagus is abundant in the markets, and this delicious tart makes the most use out of it. This recipe is always a staple in my home every spring because it’s so easy to make and so, so yummy!

Pastel sandals. With the slightly warmer weather, I’ve started bringing out my sandals and pairing them with a variety of outfits. I have my eye on these pastel purple sandals from J.Crew. The snake-skin, strappy look is delicate, chic, and comfortable for daily wear.

Almond soap. While I love using the Compagnie de Provence almond soap year-round, I tend to restock this particular soap during this time of the year after I do my spring cleaning. This literally smells like almond biscotti, and makes me look forward to washing my hands with it every time. It can be hard to find in the States, but this one is similar.
