It’s not just romance — it’s ingredients, fermentation, flour quality, and how bread fits into the culture of eating.

It’s the same familiar offerings you’ll find across Paris and beyond — hot coffee, something from the boulangerie, and a few thoughtful additions that make the experience feel complete without ever being excessive.

It’s less about abundance and more about balance — and it’s surprisingly easy to recreate at home. 🇫🇷

Sometimes it’s just a kir royale, a few olives, saucisson, and radishes with butter in the spring. A quiet pause before dinner.

Other times, it becomes an apéro dînatoire — a more abundant spread that replaces the evening meal entirely.

Both are part of the ritual. Both are unmistakably French. 🇫🇷
